The Loop Locals is operated by Local Loop LLC.
This page describes every paid product, subscription, fee, and charge associated with the platform.
All prices are in US Dollars (USD) and are processed via Stripe.
1. Consumer Mobile App
The Loop Locals App Free
The mobile app is free to download and use for all consumers. Consumer accounts carry no subscription fee, no in-app purchases, and no transaction charges. Users can browse the live map, read the Pulse Feed, submit Truth Drops, send messages, and engage with local merchants at no cost.

2. Merchant Subscription Plans
Merchants pay a monthly subscription to maintain an active presence and access business tools. Billed monthly via Stripe. No annual contracts, no setup fees. Cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time from the merchant dashboard — cancellation takes effect at end of billing period.

3. Add-On Products

Additional Staff Seat
Extra staff seats beyond the plan-included allowance. Applies to Bronze plan merchants only. Silver and Gold plans include unlimited staff seats at no extra charge.

4. Platform Transaction Fee
Fee deducted from merchant payouts when orders are processed through the platform.
Platform Fee
Applied to the subtotal of each customer order placed through the app.
A 6% platform fee is deducted from each in-app transaction before funds are transferred to the merchant's connected Stripe account. This fee covers payment processing infrastructure, fraud monitoring, and platform operations. The fee is deducted from the merchant payout — it is not charged to the consumer.

5. Payment Methods & Processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Accepted methods include all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). No payment data is stored on The Loop Locals servers.
Merchant subscriptions are charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. Invoices and receipts are delivered via email by Stripe and are also available in the merchant billing portal.
Merchant payouts use Stripe Connect. Order funds (minus the platform fee) are transferred to the merchant's connected bank account on Stripe's standard rolling payout schedule.
6. Refund Policy
Merchant Subscriptions: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has started. Merchants who cancel mid-cycle retain access through the end of the paid period. Exceptions may be made at Local Loop LLC's discretion for billing errors or verified technical failures — contact support@thelooplocals.app.
Platform Transaction Fees: Non-refundable except in cases of fraud or verified platform error.
Customer Orders: Refund eligibility for individual customer orders is determined by the merchant's own return policy. The Loop Locals provides dispute resolution tools but is not party to the transaction between customer and merchant.
